Leeds United look to have missed out on signing striker Marvin Emnes from Swansea City.
The Yorkshire giants snapped up Liam Bridcutt on loan from Sunderland until the beginning of January earlier today, but have been up against in it their desire to bag a striker before the emergency loan window closes.
It was due to close at 5pm today and there has been no word of any further arrivals at Elland Road.
Leeds were keen on Middlesbrough striker Kike, but Boro boss Aitor Karanka ruled out his departure before a deal could get off the ground.
Emnes was also on the list drawn up by the Whites, but according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the 27-year-old looks unlikely to be joining.
