Leeds United academy boss Paul Hart admits that he has quickly recognised midfielder Ronaldo Vieira's talent and is looking forward to the starlet kicking on in the coming weeks and months.

The Whites snapped up the highly-rated midfielder in the summer, but have been frustrated in having to wait for international clearance to come through to play him.

Vieira penned a two-year scholarship contract with the Championship side in the summer, but has only now just begun to clock up regular match minutes.

He turned out for 75 minutes in Leeds Under-21s' 2-0 home defeat to Crewe Alexandra today and Hart has been left in no doubt as to the ability the midfielder possesses.

"I know he's been here a while. He came over from Portugal a little while back and we've been waiting for clearance for him", he told LUTV.

"I instantly recognised that he's got talent.

"We've been as frustrated as he is waiting for this international clearance to come through.

"But you look at him today and you can see things. Just a few more games and he'll be firing.

"He's a good player", Hart added.

Vieira will now be aiming to turn out on a regular basis for the club's Under-21s as he seeks to make his mark in English football and ultimately earn a call-up to Leeds' senior squad.
