Sam Byram has completed his move from Leeds United to West Ham United.

Everton made all the running in the chase for Byram's signature this month, having a bid accepted by Leeds and then holding talks with the 22-year-old over the weekend.




But West Ham came strongly into the race at the start of this week, having a bid accepted by Leeds and Byram quickly decided his future would be better served with the Hammers.

Now he has signed for the London club, according to Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan's son, Jack.
 


Jack took to Twitter to write: "Sam Byram is now a West Ham player".

Byram's contract at Leeds had been due to expire at the end of the current season and he knocked back two offers from the Whites to sign an extension.

Now the right-back will be playing Premier League football with Slaven Bilic's men and will look to quickly nail down a spot in the side at West Ham
