Victor Valdes must pay €100 to Standard Liege every time he swaps his shirt after a game, according to Catalan daily El Mundo Deportivo.

The Spaniard joined the Belgian giants from Manchester United on a loan deal until the end of the season during the winter transfer window after falling out of favour with Louis van Gaal.

Valdes, who did not make any appearances for the Red Devils this season, has already played three games in all competitions for his new employers, with the goalkeeper even managing a clean sheet on his debut, a 2-0 win over OH Leuven in the league on 31st September.

The 34-year-old is looking to resurrect his floundering career, which saw him win numerous honours during his time at Barcelona.

However, paying €100 to Standard Liege for every shirt swap is something which the veteran custodian has never done before and hints at the strict budget in place at the Belgian side.

It remains to be seen how he tackles the situation as it is not every day multiple Champions League winners head to play in Belgium, and it will be normal for the rival players to vie for his jersey after games to keep it as a souvenir.
