Heung-Min Son feels Tottenham Hotspur’s away goal in the Europa League Round of 32 first leg clash at Fiorentina last week will come in handy for his side in the return leg tonight.

Spurs, who opened the scoring in Florence, courtesy of Nacer Chadli’s first half penalty, failed to return home with a win as Federico Bernardeschi equalised for the hosts after the break.

However, Son feels the away goal could be the deciding factor in an otherwise equally balanced tie.

The forward, who joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, insisted that his side are preparing well for tonight’s return leg against Fiorentina at White Hart Lane.

“It’s a very important game tonight and we are making sure we prepare for the Europa League well”, he told the club’s official site.

“The away match against Fiorentina was a difficult game but we managed to get the draw and an away goal which will hopefully work in our favour for the second match at home.”

Son, whose present contract with Tottenham runs until the summer of 2020, has thus far made 28 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit, scoring five times and setting up as many goals.

The 23-year-old also has 47 caps and 16 goals for South Korea to his name.
