Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is of the opinion that his charges should not look to enjoy playing cup finals and instead should focus on giving their best on the occasion.
The Liverpool boss, whose side are set to face Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday, is a seasoned campaigner when it comes to cup finals, owing to the experience he accumulated in his native Germany with Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp has experience of both winning and losing cup finals; while his BVB team beat Bayern Munich in the German Cup final in the 2011/12 season, the Bavarians beat the Westfalenstadion outfit in the Champions League final the following season.
And the 48-year-old, who insisted that his best memories of cup finals are of those he won, wants Liverpool to be in a situation so that they can enjoy themselves after the meeting with Manchester City.
“You enjoy the game when you win it”, he told LFC TV.

“We had a few finals, we won a few finals, we lost a few finals, that’s how it is.
“The best memories are of the finals we won. So, it’s not about enjoying, it’s an important moment. Your first target shouldn’t be that you have to enjoy the game, it should be you should do your best.
“Of course it’s a game and you have to take gambles and play, but there’s pressure, we shouldn’t ignore it and first of all its work.
“You should enjoy the situation after the game.”
