Danny Rose has revealed a conversation with Tottenham Hotspur team-mate Erik Lamela which led to the Argentine shooting him a look of utter disgust.

The duo were having dinner before Spurs’ Premier League clash with Manchester City on 14th February, a game which the north Londoners went on to win 2-1, and Rose asked Lamela if their side could finish in the top four.

The Argentine looked disgusted at the question before answering that Tottenham are capable of winning the Premier League in the present campaign.

“Before the Manchester City game, I was having dinner with Lamela and I was still asking him if he reckoned we can finish top four”, he was quoted as saying by the Press Association.

“I’ve never seen someone look at me with such disgust.
