Rangers manager Mark Warburton has provided an update on Martyn Waghorn, revealing that the striker is hitting the gymnasium every day.
The 26-year-old, who joined the Gers from Wigan Athletic in the summer, has been sidelined since picking up a knee ligament injury in the 2-1 win over Kilmarnock in a Scottish Cup match last month.
Waghorn has been in superb form in the current campaign, with the Englishman scoring 28 goals in 34 games in all competitions.
And Warburton, who explained that he expects Waghorn to return to action in April, insisted that Rangers want to make sure that the forward has completely recovered before reinstating him back in the team.
“I hope so [that he is on course to come back in April]”, he said in his pre-match press conference yesterday.

“Martyn is in the gym every day doing what he has to do.
“He will come back sooner rather than later, but it's about making sure he's right, so I imagine it will be a few more weeks yet.”
Waghorn, who has managed to find the back of the net 20 times in 24 Scottish Championship league games, is still the division’s top scorer this season.
Apart from scoring 28 goals in all competitions, he has also managed to provide eighth assists in 34 games.
