Frank McParland, head of recruitment at Rangers, believes he compliments manager Mark Warburton and his assistant David Weir, but dubbed the pair the "brains" at Ibrox.
Warburton and Weir worked with McParland at Championship side Brentford and the former Liverpool chief scout was tempted to Ibrox from a role at Burnley in the summer.
The recruitment supremo has been busy identifying targets for Rangers, although he stresses the exact amount of money the club will have to spend in the summer is not yet known.
"We need to see what money is available, but still do our work", he told Rangers TV.
"David, Warbs and myself are looking at a lot of players for each situation, whether we stay in the Championship or hopefully for when we have progressed into the Premiership", he continued.

And McParland thinks that he works well with Warburton and Weir, while there is also a good relationship with the board.
"Warbs and David are the real brains behind the organisation because they are methodical and they look at every eventuality. We are a good mix.
"I am one who wants to jump in and get things done quite quickly. And with the board together, David and Warbs, I think we've got a really good blend", McParland added.
Rangers appear all set to return to the Premiership next season as at present they sit 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship table.
And that means McParland is sure to be busy with Rangers looking to make a real impact in their first campaign back in the top flight.
