Hugo Lloris has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur will be ready to give their all in the final lap of the Premier League campaign after the international break.

Spurs thrashed Bournemouth 3-0 on Sunday to consolidate second spot in the league standings with 61 points from 31 games, five adrift of leaders Leicester City.

And Lloris, who explained that Tottenham have to first and foremost ensure qualification to next season’s Champions League, also stated that he is not ruling out the possibility of his side winning the Premier League with seven league games still remaining in the present campaign.

The French goalkeeper then went on to urge his team-mates to keep dreaming until the very last day of the season as he expects a lot of changes in the league table by then.

“Yes, for sure we’ll be ready for it”, he told Spurs TV, when asked if Tottenham will be ready for the final lap.

“We worked hard all season to come this far, to get a reward at the end of the season.

“The first thing is to qualify for the Champions League, for us, all the players, for the gaffer and the staff, for the chairman, for the fans.

“I think this club deserve to take a step forward and you never know. We just need to be focused on ourselves and we know that in football anything can happen.

“We need to be ambitious till the last day because a lot of things is going to happen between now until the end of the season.”

Tottenham, who have lost just four league games in the present campaign, will next face ninth-placed Liverpool in an away Premier League fixture after the international break on 2nd April.
