Germany head coach Joachim Low wants Bayern Munich playmaker Mario Gotze to talk to Carlo Ancelotti before taking a decision on his future.

Gotze’s future at the Allianz Arena has been the subject of furious speculation, with reports suggesting that he could be on his way out of the club this summer, with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund interested in acquiring his services.

His career in Bavaria has failed to hit the heights expected when he moved to Bayern Munich in 2013, and after struggling with form and injuries he has lost his place in the starting eleven.

While he does not appear to be in the plans of Pep Guardiola, the German champions will see a change of guard this summer, with Ancelotti taking over the reins of the club from the Spaniard.

And Low feels the playmaker should talk to the Italian before taking any definitive decision on his future at the club.

The Germany head coach said in a press conference when asked about Gotze’s future at Bayern Munich: “He should talk to him [Ancelotti] about his situation.”

To add further fuel to the speculation, Bayern Munich are reportedly reluctant to offer Gotze a new contract, which would replace his existing deal that expires at the end of next season.
