Liverpool striker Divock Origi has been ruled out for ten days with a thigh strain, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws.

Origi was with the Belgium squad for next Tuesday’s friendly against Portugal, but the forward is set to return to Liverpool after sustaining a thigh injury.

Belgium were already missing another Liverpool striker, Christian Benteke, with an injury, and now Origi is also expected to leave the squad before next Tuesday’s international friendly against Portugal.

The forward is expected to be out for ten days, which means that he might not be fit enough to take to the field against Tottenham Hotspur next weekend at Anfield.

The 20-year-old forward has struggled with form and injuries since joining the Reds last summer, and only recently returned to action for Jurgen Klopp’s men after recovering from a knee operation.
