Rangers defender Danny Wilson is hoping to put one over on friend Kyle Hutton when his side host the Queen of the South tomorrow at Ibrox.

Wilson and Hutton came through the ranks together at the Rangers academy, and despite their careers going in different directions in the last few years, they have struck up a good friendship off the pitch.

Hutton and his team-mates will be taking on the Scottish Championship leaders tomorrow at Ibrox, and Wilson admits his friend did well the last time he played against his former side in Glasgow.

However, the Rangers defender is eagerly waiting for an opportunity to beat Queen of South, and not only put Rangers back on track after last Friday’s disappointment, but also put one over on his friend.

The defender told the club’s official website: “They were here last year and were the midfield two for a period of the season.

“[Andy] Murdoch won’t be playing, but Hutton did well last time he came back here and performed very well.

“I still speak to Hutts quite a lot, he’s a really good friend of mine but I won’t be speaking to him this week and hopefully I can speak to him after the game and have something to rub his nose in a little bit.”

The Gers have an eleven-point lead at the top of the Scottish Championship table, having played a game less than their closest rivals Falkirk.
