Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has insisted that White Hart Lane will be ready when his side host Manchester United in a Premier League game on Sunday.

Spurs’ title ambitions hit a roadblock at the weekend after they were held to a goalless draw by Liverpool at Anfield.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team are currently second in the Premier League with 62 points from 32 games, seven behind leaders Leicester City, who edged out Southampton 1-0 on Sunday.

And Alderweireld, who wants his side to take out the positives from their draw at Liverpool and take them to the Manchester United game, is confident about Tottenham bagging the full points against the Red Devils if they put in a similar display such as they did at Anfield.

“I think we played a very good game today [Saturday], unfortunately it’s not three points, but we have to take the positives for the next game”, he told the club’s official site.

“We always focus on ourselves and try to put on performances like we did today [Saturday] and I think if we play like this next week we will win.

“Playing at home against a team like Manchester United is always big but we will be ready, the Lane will be ready and we have to focus now on that game.”

Tottenham, who have tasted defeat just four times in the league in the current campaign, lost the corresponding fixture against Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in August, the north London outfit’s first Premier League fixture of the season.
