Young Rangers midfielder Jordan Thompson is expecting an electric atmosphere inside Ibrox for tonight’s clash against Dumbarton.

A last minute equaliser from Raith Rovers on Saturday was a source of frustration of Rangers, but they could secure the league title and with it promotion to the Scottish Premiership tonight when they host Dumbarton at a packed Ibrox.

Rangers were forced to start in the fourth tier after they suffered liquidation in 2012, and the club are now on the cusp of returning to the top table of Scottish football, a place where the Gers feel they belong.

A capacity Ibrox crowd is expected to cheer on the Gers tonight, and Mark Warburton has asked his players to enjoy the wonderful occasion.

And Thompson, a fringe player at Rangers and on loan at Airdrieonians, is expecting the Ibrox to be bouncing under lights tonight against Dumbarton.
