West Ham United and Everton are interested in signing Besiktas midfielder Veli Kavlak, according to Turkish daily Takvim.

The Austria international, who missed majority of the campaign with injuries, is contracted with the Turkish champions until 2019.

Kavlak made just one league appearance in the recently concluded season when he came on as a late substitute in the 1-0 win over Mersin IY in February, while in total he played six games in all competitions, providing an assist.

The 27-year-old, who joined Besiktas from Rapid Vienna in 2011, has thus far amassed 150 appearances for the club, netting eight times and setting up 15 goals.

West Ham are mooted as keen, but Everton, despite not having a manager in place following the sacking of Roberto Martinez, appear at the front of the queue.
