Juventus have confirmed the signing of Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was in fine form last season, has put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Italian champions and cost £25.4m.

Pjanic scored 12 times and provided 13 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions in the 2015/16 campaign, while in total he turned out 185 times for Roma, netting 30 times and setting up 46 goals.

The 26-year-old failed to win any silverware at Roma after joining the club from Lyon in 2011, but he has still been Serie A’s top assist provider for the last two seasons.

Pjanic, who was snapped up by Lyon from Metz in 2008, was linked with Juventus all summer.

Roma, who finished third in the league last season, have identified Newcastle United’s Georginio Wijnaldum as a possible replacement for Pjanic.
