Tottenham Hotspur forward Clinton Njie is expected to complete his move to Marseille soon after receiving his visa yesterday.

Marseille and Tottenham have had an agreement in place for Njie for more than a week, but the Cameroonian is yet to leave London to complete the transfer.

Njie has already passed a medical with Marseille, and has also agreed personal terms, but the transfer was consistently pushed back because of a delay in arranging a visa for the 22-year-old.

However, according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the deal is expected to be pushed over the line as Njie received his visa yesterday, which should mean he will soon be flying to France to complete the switch from Spurs.

Njie’s move to Marseille is also expected to push forward the deal for Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, who has agreed to move to Tottenham this summer from the Ligue 1 outfit.

While the two deals are not connected, the delay in Njie’s move to Marseille also affected Nkoudou’s move to Tottenham, but both transfers now are on course to completion.

Njie joined Tottenham from Lyon last summer, but his season in England was disrupted by injuries and poor form, and none of his eight Premier League appearances were from the starting eleven.

Initially reluctant to move back to France, the Marseille hierarchy managed to convince the Cameroonian to join them and rekindle his career at the Stade Velodrome.
