Paul Pogba is keen to keep the winning feeling going after he made his first appearance for Manchester United since his £89m move from Juventus and helped the Red Devils to a 2-0 win over Southampton.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho chose to start the midfielder at Old Trafford against the Saints and he slotted into the centre of the park with Marouane Fellaini.

Manchester United took the lead in the 36th minute when Wayne Rooney, forced into the area around the corner flag, picked out Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who powered above Jose Fonte and headed his side into the lead.

Ibrahimovic then made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute after he slotted home from the penalty spot following a Jordy Clasie foul in the box on Luke Shaw.

It was comfortable for Manchester United and new boy Pogba played for all 90 minutes of the contest.

And he says he feels in good shape and wants to keep tasting victories with the Red Devils.

"It's great. I'm very happy for the team", Pogba told Sky Sports.

"I hope to carry on like this, getting better and keep on winning.

"I feel very good."

The Frenchman's performance was hailed by Mourinho in a good night's work for Pogba, as the Manchester United boss explained his newest signing is still getting used to how the Red Devils play.

"Paul Pogba was so good.

"He's learning how to play with us.

"I'm very happy", Mourinho said.
