Lazio are at present not keen on signing Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli, despite suggestions they want the striker.

Balotelli has been frozen out of the first team picture at Anfield and his agent is trying to find him a new home for the 2016/17 campaign, although that is proving difficult.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen for Balotelli to drop down to the Championship and it has been claimed they are willing to pay 70 per cent of the hitman's Liverpool wages.

But Balotelli would prefer to remain in a top league.

He may have to hang on though if he wants to join Lazio and hopes for changes in Rome.
