2. Bundesliga side 1860 Munich are considering a move for free agent Philippe Senderos, who has been spending time at Scottish giants Rangers.

Senderos is a free agent after departing Swiss side Grasshopper and would bring substantial experience to his next club, being able to count the likes of AC Milan, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Valencia amongst his former sides.

Rangers are firmly in pole position for Senderos, especially since a move to sign Joleon Lescott from Aston Villa fell through, but they do have competition.

Indeed, according to German daily Bild, second tier German outfit 1860 Munich have Senderos on their shortlist of defensive targets.

The Allianz Arena based club are looking at a number of options when it comes to strengthening their backline.

And another possibility is Chelsea's United States international Matt Miazga.

The 21-year-old is under contract with the Blues until 2020 and 1860 Munich would be eyeing a loan if they move for him.
