Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli has been offered to mid-table French side Nantes.

Balotelli endured a poor loan spell at AC Milan last season and the Rossoneri have shown no indication of wanting to keep hold of the former Italy international.

He has also been sidelined by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and has been asked to find a new club, something his agent is working overtime on doing.

Balotelli has recently been proposed to, and subsequently knocked back by, Bologna, Besiktas and Sassuolo – and it is now desperate times in the hunt for a new club for the striker.

Nantes are looking for a new striker and Balotelli's agent, alive to the situation, has offered his client's services, according to French outlet Maxifoot.

However, Nantes' priority is 21-year-old Mariusz Stepinski, while it has been suggested that should the deal for the Pole fall through they would still be unlikely to want Balotelli.

Nantes finished just 14th in Ligue 1 last season and the prospect of signing Balotelli is now struggling to excite even a mid-table French team, something which may worry his agent.
