Manchester City have confirmed that England goalkeeper Joe Hart has joined Serie A outfit Torino on a season-long loan deal.

Hart found himself tumbling down the pecking order at Manchester City following the arrival of Pep Guardiola as their new manager this summer, and made just one appearance in the first month of the season.

And the arrival of Claudio Bravo last week from Barcelona confirmed that Hart has no future at Manchester City, with the player quickly getting down to the business of finding a new club.

Sunderland were interested in the player, but Hart opted to move out of England, and arrived in Italy yesterday to finalise his season-long loan agreement with Torino.

The 29-year-old is hopeful of playing regular football at Torino after struggling under Guardiola, and hope to prove his detractors wrong.

Hart was pivotal in Manchester City’s rise in English football in recent years and played key roles in their two Premier League title triumphs.

Despite a poor European Championship campaign, Hart will hope to remain the England number one through regular football in Italy.

His current contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2019.
