Rangers winger Harry Forrester has lavished praise on Adam Lallana following his man of the match performance for England in their 1-0 2018 World Cup qualifying win away against Slovakia this evening.

Lallana was England's most dangerous player and hit the post before then bagging the winner for Sam Allardyce's men five minutes into injury time to break Slovakian hearts.

The goal was the Liverpool midfielder's first in an England shirt and also handed Allardyce victory in his first match in charge of the Three Lions.

Rangers winger Forrester, who was following the game, was impressed with Lallana.

The Rangers star took to Twitter to write: "Lallana is so slick! Player!"

And as Lallana bagged the winner, Forrester, delighted, wrote: "Lallana the boyyy!"

Allardyce's England do not play again until October, when they are due to lock horns with Malta and Slovenia in further World Cup qualifiers.

In November, Scotland provide the opposition at Wembley in another World Cup qualifier, before the acid test of a friendly against Spain will be used as a benchmark to measure the Three Lions' progress under Allardyce.
