Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has promised to put his full focus into Saturday's Yorkshire derby against high-flying Huddersfield Town.

The Whites are due to host David Wagner's men at Elland Road as they look to improve on what has been a poor start to the campaign in the Championship.

Garry Monk's men have won one of their opening five games and the former Swansea City manager's job security is now being openly questioned.

Jansson, who has been away on international duty with Sweden over the last week, is now heading back to England to concentrate on Leeds.

He took to Twitter to write: "Fantastic week with the national team.

"Now back to England and full focus on Saturday game."

Monk could turn to Jansson against Huddersfield as he looks for a way to stop Leeds conceding goals from set pieces.

Jansson is on a season-long loan at Leeds from Italian Serie  A side Torino and the move will be transformed into a permanent switch if he features in at least 20 games for the Championship club.
