Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes that midfield powerhouse Victor Wanyama is a player with huge potential and can bring in a lot of good things to the team.

The Londoners secured the signature of the 25-year-old on a five-year deal in June from Southampton, with the player featuring in all three Premier League matches for his new side so far.

The Kenyan international has found the back of the net already once and the Argentine manager is not one to overlook his potential.

Wanyama coming in and fitting into the team is yet another quality that the former Southampton manager says has impressed him.

“Victor can bring a lot of good things to the team", Pochettino said in an interview with the club's official website.

"He’s played the first three official games for the team and he fitted in very well from day one. He has shown in every training session and on the pitch how he wants to compete.

"There is time for him to improve more because his potential is massive."

Wanyama was snapped up by Southampton from Scottish giants Celtic back in 2013, where he played for the next three seasons, managing 97 appearances and scoring four goals,

He also provided his team-mates with two assists in between.

Pochettino will want the midfielder to take his game to the next level at White Hart Lane.
