Manchester United are snapping up PSV Eindhoven's top talent scout, Roy Beukenkamp, as they seek to delve deeper into the Dutch market.

Beukenkamp has been employed for the last year at PSV Eindhoven, where he works as the club's first team scout. His eye for spotting a player has not gone unnoticed though and now the former goalkeeper is moving up the ranks by joining the Premier League giants.

He is now leaving the Eredivisie club to take the post of Netherlands scout for Manchester United, with a rolling contract, effective immediately.

Beukenkamp explained to Dutch magazine Voetbal International: "It was quite a difficult choice.

"I was very comfortable working at PSV. When the club first showed interest I did not think about it immediately", the scout explained.

"Eventually you start thinking [about it] anyway. This is an opportunity that might never come [again].

"Last week, the clubs reached an agreement. I start immediately", Beukenkamp added.

Beukenkamp previously worked with FC Groningen and FC Twente and only joined PSV Eindhoven last year.

He is set to now look to identify the next big things from the Netherlands as Manchester United seek to put themselves at the front of the queue to hoover up future stars and also established talents.
