Garry Monk has stressed that Leeds United need to trust their methods and keep working hard as they have not been outclassed by anyone yet this season.

The Whites have made a disastrous start to the season with just four points from six league games, and a loss to Huddersfield Town on Saturday pushed them down into the relegation zone.

22nd in the Championship table, and with bottom placed Blackburn Rovers to visit Elland Road tonight, Monk and his men are under pressure early in the season to turn things around soon.

Despite the poor results, Monk insisted that the players need to trust in what they have been doing this season, and keep working hard in order to stop the rot at Elland Road.

He pointed out that his side have not been outplayed by anyone this season, and they just need to apply themselves better on the pitch to get the rub of the green.

Monk told LUTV: “We are talking about fine margins; we have not been outplayed by anyone.

“The results that we have had all came down to individual mistakes and Saturday was also, fine margins. We have been on the wrong side of it, but that’s not an excuse.

“The attitude towards these things is to believe in what we are doing, keep working as hard as possible because we know what we can do, we know what we are capable of.”

Leeds will be looking to get their first home win against Blackburn tonight and start to turn their season around.
