Paris Saint-Germain are not likely to give up their chase for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho despite the Reds insisting that €75m is a minimum asking price for the Brazilian, it has been claimed.

The French champions have made Coutinho a priority target for 2017 and want to make sure he is playing his football at the Parc des Princes next year.

PSG have lost star power since the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer and currently sit in just third spot in Ligue 1 following two defeats in their opening eleven games.

According to French magazine Le 10 Sport, PSG sounded Liverpool out just before Euro 2016 about Coutinho, but a suggestion €25m could be paid was dismissed out of hand.

PSG have continued to insist they want to sign Coutinho and it is claimed that Liverpool have made clear they will only consider talking if the €75m mark is hit.
