RB Leipzig winger Oliver Burke has insisted that the club will treat their friendly against Rangers as a competitive game and will be putting in 100 per cent effort.

Ahead of returning to the Scottish season after a winter break, the Glasgow giants will be taking on Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena in a friendly game this Sunday.




Currently second in the league table, the east German outfit have taken the Bundesliga by storm in their first season in the top tier of German football with their array of young talents.

Burke is one such young talent that Leipzig snapped up from Nottingham Forest in the summer and the Scotland international has become an important part of a Bundesliga chasing squad.
 


Ahead of their clash against Rangers, the 19-year-old winger stressed that Leipzig won’t be treating the game as any other friendly and will be at their competitive best against the Glasgow giants.

The young Scot said on the Rangers Podcast: “We are a very good side and we won’t be taking it as any kind of friendly.

“Every game we go into, we will be will highly competitive and we will give our 100 per cent.”

The Scotland international is expected to feature against the giants of Scottish football on Sunday at the Red Bull Arena.
