Rangers manager Mark Warburton has indicated that he is not keen on losing any more players because of the difficulty of signing replacements in January.

The Glasgow giants signed Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman on loan deals from Arsenal and Bournemouth respectively as the club looked to strengthen their midfield resources this month.

Rangers allowed Matt Crooks to join Scunthorpe United on loan in the ongoing transfer window and there have been suggestions that a few more players could be allowed to leave Ibrox.

However, Warburton admits that the club are only trying to find new players and insisted that losing more numbers is not an option they are considering because of the difficulties in finding quality replacements in January.

The Rangers boss said in a press conference when asked if more will leave the club this month: “No, it’s about us finding players.

“There is no point in adding numbers for numbers sake.

"If we are going to lose a player then the replacement would have to be better.”

Rangers are still in the market for players in the ongoing transfer window, but Warburton has kept on insisting that the club are only in for the right kind of players.
