New Rangers signing Daniel Candeias believes that Gers boss Pedro Caixinha is the man to get the best out of him.

The Portuguese winger has just spent a season on loan at Turkish side Alanyaspor from Benfica and impressed enough for the Super Lig club to want to keep him.

But Candeias has penned a two-year deal at Rangers and believes that Caixinha, under whom he worked at Portuguese side Nacional, can bring out the best in him.

"The coach knows me really well and it was with him, when we were at Nacional, that I gave my best performances and I believe he’ll be able to bring that out of me here once again", the wide-man told Rangers TV.

Candeias also stressed that despite preferring to operate as a winger, he is prepared to slot in wherever Caixinha feels is necessary.

"I play as a winger but first of all I want to help the team and I will do what the coach asks me to do and I’ll try to do that the best I can.

"I would prefer to play in my position but I would do whatever it takes to help the team and coach out", he added.

Candeias is Rangers' fifth signing of the summer, with Caixinha acting quickly to reshape his squad.

Defenders Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso have both arrived at Ibrox, along with midfielder Ryan Jack and forward Dalcio Gomes.

Rangers are also expected to sign Mexican midfielder Carlos Pena and striker Eduardo Herrera.
