Despite claims that Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to meet the €25m buy-out clause in Ricardo Pereira's contract at FC Porto, the wing-back insists he is looking forward to working under the Portuguese side's new coach, Sergio Conceicao.

Tottenham are looking to bring in a new wing-back with the possibility that Kyle Walker will quit the club over the summer transfer window.

It has been claimed in England that Mauricio Pochettino's men are ready to trigger the €25m release clause in Pereira's contract.

But the Portuguese star, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at French club Nice, says he is relishing the chance to work under Porto's new boss, ex-Nantes coach Conceicao.

"I am prepared and I feel like a better player than I was two years ago", Pereira was quoted as saying by O Jogo.

"I've gained experience and the rhythm of the game.

"I would like to work with him [Conceicao]."

However, Pereira did leave the door open for a potential departure, adding: "But let's see what happens."

Pereira was in impressive form for Nice over the course of the season and helped the south coast club to finish a lofty third in Ligue 1, booking a spot in next season's Champions League for the club.
