Eddie Gray thinks Leeds United are being talked about for being top of the Championship far more than Cardiff City were when they were at the summit.
The Whites hit the top of the table on Tuesday night after grabbing a 2-0 win over Birmingham City, while Neil Warnock's Cardiff went down at Deepdale against Preston, losing 3-0.
Leeds boast a one-point lead over Cardiff at the top of the table after seven games and are unbeaten under new head coach Thomas Christiansen.
Whites legend Gray admits that Leeds are now there to be targeted by other sides as they are league leaders, while he offered a nod to the size of the Yorkshire giants by claiming that the club are being talked about much more than Cardiff were when they were top.
"We're the team now that everybody's chasing", Gray said on LUTV.

"The funny thing is they are talking about us more being top of the division than they were talking about Cardiff.
"I think they see us as a big, big threat this season and everybody now is starting to talk about Leeds United, and that's a good thing", he added.
Leeds are next in action this coming weekend when they travel to the capital to lock horns with Millwall at the Den.
Cardiff meanwhile are in action at home against Sheffield Wednesday, while Sheffield United, who could go top if they win and other results fall their way, take on Norwich City at home.
