Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has stressed the importance of trusting his current squad , while leaving the jury out on whether more signings will be made this month.

Central midfielder Adam Forshaw became Leeds’ most expensive signing in 16 years when he joined the club from Middlesbrough on Thursday for a reported fee of around £4.5m.

Leeds also signed Laurens De Bock from Club Brugge earlier this month for a £1.5m fee and the club are expected to be in the market for more players before the end of the window.

The Leeds boss is not keen to discuss whether the club are going to bring in more fresh faces this month, but wants to focus on the players he has at his disposal at the moment.

Christiansen also pointed to the amount of players Leeds have signed since last summer and believes it is important that he maintains his trust in the current crop.

Asked if Leeds are going to bring in more fresh faces, the Dane said in a press conference: “If somebody will come we will see, but now we focus on the players we have.

“Also a reminder that we have signed 15 players since June so we need to give some trust to them.”

Leeds are in the market for a striker and could look to add to their attack before the end of the window.
