Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom is not willing to be drawn on whether the Whites will seek to keep Pierre-Michel Lasogga on a permanent basis.

The German hitman is on loan for the season at Leeds from Bundesliga outfit Hamburg, but his campaign in Yorkshire has been mixed.

Lasogga has split opinion amongst the fans and with Leeds not having a buying option, they would need to hold talks with Hamburg to keep him at Elland Road.

But Heckingbottom will not say if Leeds will move for Lasogga.

Asked about Lasogga's future at a press conference, Heckingbottom replied: "It's not something I'm going to speak about."

Heckingbottom also confirmed that defender Pontus Jansson should be available for the game against Barnsley at the weekend after he missed the loss at Aston Villa with a head injury.

"He's not trained yet but we are hoping we have ticked off the last box today in terms of protocol so we are hoping he is back in tomorrow", the head coach said.

While Leeds have nothing to play for against Barnsley, Heckingbottom will not want to lose when his former club visit Elland Road.
