Jose Mourinho has admitted that Manchester United were punished for their mistakes in his 3-2 side's defeat to Brighton, leaving fans reacting to his comments on social media.
The Portuguese manager believes the Red Devils made 'too many mistakes' and were punished for 'every mistake' they made in the first half, adding that their second goal came too late for them to make an impact in the match.
Twitter user and Manchester United fan Todd Bartley chose to back the manager as he blamed the Glazers for the unrest, but Shaneabbas was not in agreement, stating that he doesn't see the club progressing under Mourinho.
Fans need to back him. He’s been screwed over by Ed and the Glazers and is trying to bring us success never the less. He could easily have walked on deadline day but stuck with us. #Josein #Glazersout

I don’t see Man Utd progressing under Mourinho. The board, The management and the players are not under same page.

Twitter user AS IF CR7 though put the blame on the current lot of players, opining that they lack 'fighting' spirit and Mourinho is being left to manage 'models' instead of professional football players.
Jose is not the problem. The problem is players of current man united they don't have will of fighting & never die spirits . Jose handling group of dancers & models instead of professional football players

On the other hand, Brendan found Mourinho to be 'poisonous' and is someone who is ruining the cohesiveness of the team.
No one cares. You are poisonous to the mentality of the team, you ruin any cohesiveness the team could have, and your comments confuse everyone as to if you have the teams best interest in mind. #MourinhoOut

While Askia opined that Mourinho's tactics are 'out of date', Mark Summers wished the players put in an effort similar to that they put on social media.
Meanwhile, DIX kept his viewpoint short and simple.
If the players trained and played with the effort they put into there Instagram status we might just stand a chance of finishing in the top 4 #BHAMUN
