Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear has hailed the way the Whites players have bought into head coach Marcelo Bielsa's approach.

The Yorkshire giants have been in sublime form under the experienced Argentine this season and sit top of the Championship standings, with hopes high amongst the supporters of a promotion campaign.

Leeds thrashed Preston North End 3-0 on Tuesday night and Kinnear says all at the club are delighted with the application the players have shown under Bielsa.

"We're really proud of them, really proud", Kinnear said on BBC Radio Leeds.

"The way they've embraced what Marcelo wants to do has been a credit to all of them."

Kinnear insists that what the fans see on the pitch in terms of intensity is exactly the same as is put in on the training pitch, day in, day out under Bielsa.

"The hard work they put in during pre-season and continue to put in during training.

"The intensity in training is exactly as you see out on the pitch", Kinnear added.

Leeds are now preparing to welcome Garry Monk's Birmingham City to Elland Road this weekend and will want another three points to further continue their solid start to the Championship campaign.
