Italy legend Fabio Cannavaro has urged Napoli to make sure that they do not lose their heads at Anfield against Liverpool in order to reach the Champions League last 16.
Napoli and Liverpool are set to clash in a crucial Champions League match which will decide their fate in the competition tonight.
A point will be enough for Napoli to reach the last 16 of the Champions League, but Liverpool will either need to win 1-0 or get the victory with at least a two-goal margin.
The Reds are banking on Anfield’s raucous atmosphere to take them over the finish line against the Serie A giants and Cannavaro admits that it remains a difficult place to visit for any opposing side.
Other than putting in a good performance, the Italy legend also stressed the importance of Napoli keeping their wits in check and not losing their heads under pressure.
Cannavaro told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “Napoli have a good team even if Anfield is a difficult place to go.
“They must put in a great performance to win the three points.
“Napoli have a chance to do it, but they must remain calm and not lose their heads in any situation.”
In the other group game, a win for Paris Saint-Germain at Red Star Belgrade will be enough to get them to the last 16 of the Champions League.
