Rangers summer-recruit Eros Grezda has insisted that the Gers need to treat every game during the busy festive season like a final if they are to cement their place at the top of the table.

Steven Gerrard’s men returned to the summit of the Scottish Premiership table following their 1-0 win over Hamilton at Ibrox on Sunday.

The Gers bounced back from their three-game winless run in all competitions courtesy of an early goal from Daniel Candeias, who opened the scoring for the hosts in the third minute.

Grezda, who joined Rangers in the summer, crossed from the left flank and the ball eventually ended up with Candeias, who finished with ease to find the back of the net.

Despite helping Rangers return to the top of the table, Grezda insisted that the Gers must now treat every game in December like a final if they are to cement their place at the top ahead of the winter break.

“It is important when you are top of the league, but we have four more important games between now and the break”, Grezda told Rangers TV.

“We just have to recover as well as possible and make sure that we give 100% in every game and play it like it’s a final.”

Rangers have a testing set of fixtures coming their way in the Premiership with all of Hibernian, St Johnstone and rivals Celtic to play before the turn of the year.
