Fulham and Leeds United are keeping close tabs on Foggia’s 15-year-old striker Francesco Paolo Clemente, it has been claimed.

The teenage hitman has been earning rave reviews for his performances for Foggia’s academy team and has been attracting interest from several clubs in Europe.

The youngster was on the scoresheet as Foggia’s academy side beat Roma in Trigoria last Sunday and scouts were keeping a close watch on the teenage striker.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, scouts from Fulham and Leeds were present, watched the youngster in action against Roma and were impressed with what they saw.

Foggia are not expected to immediately lose him as Clemente is yet to turn 16 and therefore, foreign clubs will not be able to snare him away at the moment.

But the youngster’s development is expected to attract more interest in the coming months and speculation over his future is likely to increase.

Marcelo Bielsa’s reputation for working with young players may make Leeds an attractive club, but Fulham’s presence in the Premier League could also be decisive if they move for Clemente.
