Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri has claimed that the Reds have enough quality to maintain their good run of form throughout the busy Christmas season schedule in the Premier League.
Shaqiri, who joined Liverpool from Stoke City in the summer, has settled in quickly at Anfield and netted a brace during the 3-1 win over Manchester United last Sunday.
The result meant that Liverpool retained their place at the summit of the Premier League table and still enjoy a slender lead over defending champions Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this term and are currently enjoying their best ever start to a league campaign.
However, the Reds are scheduled to play three games before the turn of the year, starting with a trip to Molineux tonight but Shaqiri thinks that Liverpool have enough quality to maintain their flying start to the season.
“It is difficult but we have the quality to play like this, to stay like this, to stay focused on all these games”, Shaqiri told the club’s official website.
“We are going to have a lot of games and of course every team wants to beat you, but we want to be on a good run until the end of the season.
“When we play so many games like this it is very difficult, so we just have to stay focused for every game and work hard in training.
“Every game has its own story so we have to close the last game and prepare for the next one.”
Shaqiri has been directly involved in eight goals from 17 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool since joining in the summer.
