St Johnstone winger Matty Kennedy has revealed that he has yet to meet Steven Gerrard, but is sure the Liverpool legend must be doing well at Ibrox due to the Rangers fans raving about him.

Sunday's match will give the 24-year-old the chance to see the Liverpool legend at close quarters for the second time this season, though the youngster insists that they haven't got the chance to meet personally.

Having played for Everton's Under-21 and Under-23 sides, Kennedy saw Gerrard, though not in action but in the stands watching the game.

But the winger believes that Gerrard is surely doing well at the Ibrox with all the fans raving about him.

“I didn’t meet him when I was down south”, Kennedy was quoted as saying by The Courier.

“I played under-21 or under-23s against Liverpool when I was at Everton and I noticed him in the background watching the game.

"I’m sure he’s doing well.”

St Johnstone have been in decent form of late, having lost just once in the last six matches.

Kennedy's side though suffered a 5-1 drubbing the last time they faced Rangers.
