West Ham are interested in landing former Sunderland midfielder Yann M’Vila during the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman joined Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne in January last year and has managed to rekindle his career with the club over the last season-and-a-half.

His performances in the ongoing campaign have impressed observers and the 28-year-old has emerged as a target for several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Saint-Etienne are keen to hold on to the player, who has a contract until 2022, but M'Vila has been attracting interest from the Premier League.

And according to French sports daily L’Equipe, West Ham are one of the teams who are considering signing the player in the coming months.

The east London club have already taken some concrete steps to test the water and see whether M’Vila would consider moving to England this summer.
