Rashica has been expected to leave Werder Bremen this summer but his future is yet to be resolved despite several clubs, including Aston Villa, showing an interest in him.

The 24-year-old has been on RB Leipzig’s top target list in the ongoing window, but they are unwilling to meet Werder Bremen’s valuation of the player.

And according to German daily Bild, Leipzig have more or less given up on the possibility of taking Rashica to the Red Bull Arena during the summer.

They have been left frustrated by Werder Bremen not being willing to move down from the €20m mark, despite the changed football landscape.

Werder Bremen have not moved an inch from their €20m asking price and Leipzig have been unwilling to offer anything more than €15m for Rashica.

As such, Leipzig are now focusing on other transfer priorities and bowing out of the chase for Rashica.

Rashica has been linked with a move to England, with Aston Villa mooted to be suitors and Dean Smith’s men will not now face competition from Leizpig if they do make a move.

It is unclear if Aston Villa would be willing to meet Werder Bremen’s €20m asking price.
