The 24-year-old has found regular playing time hard to come by at Spurs this season, with his last Premier League appearance coming early in October.
Winks was handed a start in Tottenham’s 2-0 Europa League win over Royal Antwerp on Thursday night, but was left disappointed after being taken off before the hour mark.
With Euro 2020 on the horizon, the midfielder is concerned about losing his place in the England squad if he does not play regularly.
And now Winks is ready to discuss his future at the club with Tottenham supremo Daniel Levy, ahead of the January transfer window.
However, the Englishman could be in line for further frustration, with Spurs more likely to sanction a loan move for out-of-favour star Alli than him.
Alli has fallen out-of-favour under Jose Mourinho and has struggled to claw his way back into the Portuguese tactician’s plans for the season.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain failed with three attempts to take the midfielder on loan in the transfer window and could return with higher hopes in January.
