Potters boss Michael O’Neill is still keen on adding more firepower to his attacking line from the transfer talent pool.

And the Stoke boss has zeroed in on Manchester City youth striker Wright-Phillips as a potential addition to his forward line.

O’Neill is interested in roping in the 19-year-old Citizen starlet to the bet365 Stadium before the clock winds down on the winter window as he looks to bolster his squad in order to boost their promotion bid.

However, Stoke will need to act quickly should they decide to launch a deadline day swoop for the player as time is running out with transfer deadline set at 11pm.

Wright-Phillips has risen through the ranks at the Etihad and is currently playing in the Under-23s set up at Manchester City.

He was shipped off on a loan spell to Blackburn Rovers’ youth side during the second half of last season and could now potentially earn much needed first team experience, provided a move to Stoke materialises.

The Potters are yet to make any concrete moves for the player but will need to accelerate proceedings quickly if they seek to drag a deal over the line before the deadline.
