The Sweden international joined Leeds from Serie A club Torino on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2016 before making the move permanent in the following summer.

Jansson established himself as a key player at Elland Road and helped the side to the Championship playoffs in the 2018/19 season, but joined Brentford in the summer of 2019 in a surprise move.

Almost two years since his departure from Yorkshire, the defender has admitted that he misses Leeds, having developed a special relationship with the club.

Jansson, who revealed that he is still in touch with Leeds supremo Andrea Radrizzani, insisted that he is happy at Brentford but explained that he will love the Whites for the rest of his life.

To be completely honest, I miss Leeds and love Leeds, but I’m in a place in life where I’m incredibly happy with where I am now at my new club and how appreciated I am there“, Jansson told Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen.

But it is clear that I miss Leeds, my team-mates and the club.

You who follow them know that it was something special.

I will love Leeds for the rest of my life and follow them.

I have a pretty close relationship with many of the players, I still often talk to Andrea [Radrizzani].

The 30-year-old made 120 appearances across all competitions during his three-year stint with the Yorkshire-based club.
