Lloris is still Tottenham’s number 1 goalkeeper, but only has a year left on his contract to run at the club and Spurs signed Pierluigi Gollini on an initial loan earlier this summer.

As things stand, the Frenchman will be able to leave Tottenham on a free transfer at the end of the season.

There is little talk of the club offering him a new deal and the Frenchman also admitted that Tottenham have not said a word about fresh terms as well.

However, he stressed that he is fully committed to the club and the direction they are aiming to move towards under the duo of manager Nuno Espirito Santo and football managing director Fabio Paratici.

Lloris told French sports daily L’Equipe when asked about a potential new contract from Spurs: “For the moment, there is nothing from the club, but I am quiet about it.

“I have a perspective, I am fully committed to the club, as I have been for the last nine seasons, and want to contribute to a new direction and new energy with a new coach and a new sporting director.

“I don’t have to prove my loyalty to Spurs.”

Lloris joined Tottenham in 2012 and is the current club captain with 375 appearances under his belt for the north London club.
