Jurgen Klopp has used the EFL Cup to hand fringe players opportunities in the team and continued the trend in the fourth round when the Reds beat Preston North End.
The German may continue with the same approach when Leicester visit Anfield, but Liverpool are now just a stone’s throw away from potentially reaching the final of the EFL Cup.
Supporters have largely welcomed the draw against Leicester, with Oaitse expecting a tough but winnable tie.
Colin is taking comfort in the fact Liverpool have been handed a home draw, while the Cursed Knight thinks that the Anfield crowd could help take a team of fringe players over the line.
Jassie is expecting a five-star show from Divock Origi, with the Mayor of Ohafia feeling the draw shows the universe wants Liverpool to win the EFL Cup this season.
Derek thinks that the draw is one of the easiest Liverpool could have got, while bet is optimistic the Reds can go all the way.
Liverpool have not lost at Anfield against Leicester since 2000.
Some tasty last 8 games in the Carabao Cup. For once we have a home tie at Anfield. Leicester City won’t be easy but we should do well #LFC

Leicester will play full strength
We won’t
It’s at Anfield so slight hope that fans will carry the team across the line.
Tough draw but could’ve been worse. Adjustable #leaguecup— The Cursed Knight™ (@thecursedknight) October 30, 2021
Right so pencil in dec 20th at anfield to see Leicester get divok-ed! #lfc#YNWA

Its #Lfc vs #Lcfc, its looking like the universe wants us to win the carabao cup…

Outside of Sunderland, probably the easiest draw #lfc could get as Leicester have been making 11 team changes in this competition. With a PL title and a FA Cup in the cabinet, a League cup isn’t that special for Leicester anymore.

Always goin to be tough tie who ever we got, but it’s at home, and if the manager fancy’s it and puts out a good mix of experienced and youth, should scrape through, but can’t see it right in the middle of the busy Xmas schedule(20th Dec!!)..#lfc
